James Hawver: Naturopath, Entrepreneur, Inventor, and Educator

April 16, 1946-January 12, 2019

Back in the 1960’s James Hawver worked in the supplement industry with, the man considered to be the father of Applied Kinesiology, George Goodheart. Their work together impacted Jim to a profound degree and changed the course of his life. Doctor Goodheart mentored him and told him that “You have the potential to be a really good healer.” He took those words to heart. In the mid-1980’s he was exposed to electrodermal screening (EDS) and he could see that this technology could help people really get to the bottom of their health issues. With the knowledge he had acquired about the benefits of high-grade supplementation and now this targeted technology, Jim decided he needed to know more about homeopathy to complete himself as a practitioner. In short order he had studied and become a Doctor of Naturopathy and opened his supplement company. Not long after he refined the EDS technology into his own system that has, even up to now, been instrumental in getting many seriously ill people well.

What Jim realized, and taught everyone who wanted to learn, is that we actually have the capability of getting to the root of health issues and fixing them. He often described symptoms as nails in a tire. The EDS technology was designed to not only find those nails, but to take them out, and patch that tire.

Jim was also a very gifted supplement formulator. In his career he created more than 500 products. Maybe his most remembered gift will be that he shared that knowledge and passion with the many EDS Technicians and doctors that he educated in his courses, seminars, conferences and formulation-retreats.

On a personal note, Jim was survived by his sons Jason and Justin Hawver, 9 grandchildren, 2 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends who miss him dearly.
